Hiking fans will find a real paradise on the leisure mountain Rosskopf Monte Cavallo. On the high plateau over Sterzing Vipiteno are waiting numerous hiking trails, great pasture landscapes and a wonderful panorama view.
The leisure mountain Rosskopf Monte Cavallo offer a unique 360° round view from the Zillertaler alps over the Dolomites and the Sarntaler alps to the Stubaier alps.
You will find numerous tours in all difficult levels: from easy family tours to challenging summit climbs. Fantastic panorama tours are changing with cozy mountain huts. And the best of all: you can take the cable car for the steep path and arrive to an altitude of 1860m without effort.

Excursions to suit all tastes

The Hotel Lamm is the ideal starting point for numerous excursions during the summer: discover the excursion area of Mount Cavallo and that of Racines and take a deep breath of fresh air! 18 km from Vipiteno is the wonderful Val di Vizze, which will amaze you with its landscapes and waterfalls.

We also recommend a trip to the Gola delle Stanghe (Gilfenklamm), the only gulley in the world in white marble. Thanks to the easy trails, you can explore the gulley by following the Rio Racines river, admiring this natural wonder.

Fun for all ages

If you are looking for something special to do during your holiday in Vipiteno, we recommend Skytrek, the adventure park for families, equipped with trails for all levels. Experience the excitement of climbing trees and balancing on wires!

If instead you are looking for an adrenaline rush, the Ladurns excursion area offers you the chance to have fun on the Mountain-carts, three-wheeled carts that offer you a safe trip down the mountain.

Culture in Vipiteno and the surrounding area

Don’t miss out on the Bishop’s seat of Bressanone with the Abbey of Nocacella, Merano with its thermal waters, and the gardens of Castle Trauttmansdorff, Innsbruck with its Austrian climate and the magical worlds of Swarovski Crystal.
